#ReentryReady- Catching up!

Hello!!
So here are the answers to the questions I missed the last 11 days! I've been busy, deppresed, happy again, busier, and now I finally took the time to go through these question, mostly because my mom said she enjoys reading my blog. Here we go!

How would your dream counselor have supported you?
Through this time I’ve had amazing chaplains and close friends, they have listened, laughed, prayed and given good ideas to face different situations. I am very grateful for them.

What is the best care package you have received?
All of them have been awesome. A beautiful friend sent me 6 pairs of socks, as I was already thinking that I needed a few new pairs!! My mom was able to send me my old Bible, and colombian treats!!

In what ways did you feel forgotten on the field?
Communication and technology are a blessing, and I have the possibility to talk to my family as much as we want to. But despite of that, just a few friends from home have kept in touch. It does make me sad not to be part of their life as I used too, but I haven't been very dedicated on calling them either. I hope when I go back home I'll have the chance to catch up.

Where were you least equipped for life on the field?
The needs for privacy and alone time keep being the biggest priorities, and although I spent 6 months living with my best friend here, I had to sacrifice our special cabin to move into a different one to have space for myself. I guess it has taken me a very long time to understand how to have a healthy balance between time with close friends, people and for myself.

What scares you about leaving the field?
I've been missing home and longing to go back so much, that I'm afraid I won't want to come back to the ship!! But every time I think about that, I remember that there is no other job I would rather have, no other place I would rather serve God at. I hope time at home will just recharge me and renew my passion for this ministry.

What do you need most right now?
Strength to finish well. I am temporarily leading the MaxilloFacial ward, this will be the last week of surgeries and we hope that all of our patients will recover well and will go home completely healed.

What are your favorite things about living in your community?
Sharing the same heart and passion for the people we serve. No matter what job we do and how much time we have to serve on the ship, we have one thing in common and that brings me joy every day.
It is very encouraging to share a place with people that share the same questions about the future, that trust God to provide for our daily needs, and that also understand the struggles that I go through.
I love finding hidden talents in this community, we all multi-task in and out of work!

Where are you least equipped for your return home?
I haven't been able to plan much about it, because my main goal is to go to my parents home, watch the sunrise from their balcony, and rest. Thinking of organizing visits and meetings to catch up with friends and family brings a sense of anxiety that I really want to get rid of, because I really want to see as many people as I can!!

What's one thing your sending agency could do to support your re-entry?
I don't have a sending agency. Ha!

Where are your loose ends? How can you tie them up?
I think everything will be in the right place when I leave. At least that's how it looks like right now :)

What have you done to prepare for financial challenges going back home?
I have prayed, tried to be wise in the ways I spend my money here, tried to save some through the field service, and I continue trusting God as He will continue being faithful.
