"And now, may all the glory be for God, who can achieve much more than we could ask for or even imagine by his great power acting in us."  (Ephesians 3:20 NLT)                                Can you imagine a hospital full of people with deformities in different parts of their body, poor, abandoned and rejected, even labeled as "cursed"?  Can you imagine them smiling and dancing?  Can you imagine a hospital where everyone who works there does not receive a salary?  Can you imagine a hospital where part of the "job" is dancing, singing, playing and hugging patients and their caregivers?  Can you imagine a hospital where you have to do 1 or 2 translations to be able to communicate with patients and their families?  Can you imagine a hospital where each change of shift and each surgery includes prayer?  Can you imagine 80 hospital beds, an intensive care...

"Y ahora, que toda la gloria sea para Dios, quien puede lograr mucho más de lo que pudiéramos pedir o incluso imaginar mediante su gran poder que actúa en nosotros."  (Efesios 3:20 NTV)                                ¿Se imaginan un hospital lleno de personas con deformidades en diferentes partes de su cuerpo, pobres, abandonadas y rechazadas, incluso etiquetados como "malditas"? ¿Se las imaginan sonriendo y bailando?   ¿Se imaginan un hospital donde todos los que trabajan allí no reciben sueldo?  ¿Se imaginan un hospital donde parte del "trabajo" es bailar, cantar, jugar y abrazar a los pacientes y sus familiares?  ¿Se imaginan un hospital donde hay que hacer 1 o 2 traducciones para poder comunicarse con los pacientes y sus familiares?  ¿Se imaginan un hospital donde cada cambio de turno y cada cirugía incluye oración y alabanzas a Dios? ¿Se imaginan un hospita...

WHAT WE DO ON THE AFRICA MERCY In this post I want to tell you what the volunteers do here, to encourage you to participate too! Some come to serve 2 weeks, some months like me, 1 or 2 years, and there are people  that have a long term commitment with 5, 15 and even 30 years serving here!  We are all here as volunteers, no one receives a salary, we all receive contributions from many people around the world and through this support and God's blessing we offer free surgeries to people who do not have access to them, with illnesses that have generated shame and pain for few or many years and that can even be risky for their lives if they are not treated.  The ship works with 4 giant engines, has a s...

Algunos vienen para servir 2 semanas, algunos meses como yo, 1 o 2 años, y hay personas comprometidas a largo plazo con 5, 15 e incluso 30 años sirviendo aquí!! Todos aquí estamos como voluntarios, ninguno recibe sueldo, todos recibimos aportes de muchas personas y a través de ese apoyo y la bendición de Dios ofrecemos cirugías gratis a personas que no tienen acceso a éstas, con enfermedades que les han generado vergüenza y dolor durante pocos o muchos años y que incluso pueden ser riesgosas para su vida si no son tratadas. FROM 2017 TO 2018 1. LOOKING BACK  I started the year 2017 by asking God for a full-time ministry. I thanked him for the job I had, the apartment in which I lived, the church I attended, I had my family very close, but in my heart burned the desire to serve him with all that I am and have in places with not adequate health services; I wanted to use my career as a ministry and not as a job. I asked him to take care of my needs and to support me financially, I asked him that where I worked, I could have my Bible opened and I could sing praises and pray with freedom to adore him and bless my patients not only physically but spiritually ... and He fulfilled the desire of my heart.  When praying for something like that, it seemed impossible for me. I did not know a ministry where they needed a nurse like me, I did not have money savings, I did not know how to share that dream to raise the funds I needed ... but He took care of everything, "because nothing is impossible...

Del 2017 al 2018 1. MIRANDO HACIA ATRÁS Comencé el año 2017 pidiendo un ministerio de tiempo completo. Le agradecí por el trabajo que tenía, el apartamento en el que vivía, la iglesia a la que asistía, tenía a mi familia muy cerca, pero en mi corazón ardía el anhelo de servirle con todo lo que soy lo que tengo en lugares donde no existían servicios de salud adecuados, quería usar mi carrera como un ministerio y no como un trabajo. Le pedi que Él se encargara de mis finanzas y de sostenerme económicamente, le pedí que donde yo trabajara pudiera tener mi Biblia abierta y pudiera cantar alabanzas y orar con libertad para adorarlo y bendecir a mis pacientes no sólo física sino espiritualmente... y Dios cumplió el deseo de mi corazón.  Al orar por algo así, parecía imposible para mí. No conocía un ministerio donde necesitaran una enfermera como yo, no tenía dinero ahorrado para sostenerme, no sabía cómo compartir ese sueño para levantar los fondos que necesitaba... p...
